FWF at Unity Stamp Co.-Farewell card

Image
It is Friday and time for FWF at Unity Stamp Co. This week has been full of emotions!! Even though I had to say farewell to a co-worker that is transferring to a company center in Florida, the week has been sprinkled with excitement. Some of the excitement I will have to save for a NEAR future post ;-) I am just not at liberty to share just yet, but when I do...I will burst at the seams!! But a couple of things that I can share: 1.) My previous post-Patriotic décor-was drawn at ODBD !! I won a $15 gift certificate! WOOT! 2.) I just found out this afternoon that the same project was picked to be in the designer spotlight over at Simon Says Stamp and Show blog!!! WOOT! WOOT! Here's my co-worker's card. I am gonna miss her shining face! I've tried coloring with Copics before, but my attempts were not so successful. I decided to take a leap and try again. I bought a colorless blender, but even then there is a learning curve. If anyone has advice...I am open to it!!!...

Wedding card

Image
Last Saturday evening, John and I attended a wedding where our son was the best man. He also played guitar and sang with his girlfriend. It's surreal to watch your kids move through phases of adulthood. There is a sense of awe and wonder along with a slight panic that you are really beginning to age. Regardless...the night was wonderful. It was outdoors on the bride's family farm and the weather couldn't have been more PERFECT!!! It was a gorgeous wedding!!! Very vintage and full of fun surprises...an old fashioned soda fountain, and who would have ever thought to have a popcorn bar (made fresh right there) with M&M's, nuts, gummy bears, Skittles, yogurt covered raisins, etc. as appetizers before the dinner!! Soooooo fun!!!! We had a BLAST dancing the night away!! Here's the card that I made for the beaming newlyweds!!!! I saw a card with this diecut somewhere and I couldn't remember where I saw it, otherwise I would give credit.   Materials:   ...

Friday Friends With Flair at Unity Stamp Co.

I had so much fun with the cloud technique last week for the Unity Stamp Co. FWF challenge that I decided to do another project using this technique. This is the June ATC for my buddy Lindy. I love clouds and this cloud stamp that I used to make the dimensional clouds is a freebie that I got a while back from Unity Stamp Co. To make the clouds, I stamped and fussy cut it. Then I rubbed the cloud with Versamark, embossed it with white embossing powder, and cut it into two horizontal pieces. Anniversary card for my BFF and her hubby

John and I are so blessed to share a friendship with two people that we can just "keep it real" with. They know our faults, shortcomings and failures, yet they still  laugh with us, cry with us, and celebrate life with us. Little did we know, so long ago, when we were both in their wedding (we were not even dating at the time) that they would end up being in our wedding a few years later! We are so lucky to have them in our lives! Happy Anniversary Skip and Lindy !!!

Busy, Busy May beaver

It has been crazy, busy this month, but that hasn't stopped my mojo. I'd like to share some more of my recent work over the last couple of weeks. Some graduation cards, a birthday card, and some tags.   Here's my inspiration for this card.   Here's my inspiration for this card.   Here's my inspiration for this card. This is a picture of some tags that my friend, Lindy and I worked on together this last weekend. Hopefully we can get them posted in time for the 12 tags of 2013 May challenge at the Tim Holtz blog.  My tag is the red one and her tag is the blue one.
