Busy, Busy May beaver

It has been crazy, busy this month, but that hasn't stopped my mojo. I'd like to share some more of my recent work over the last couple of weeks. Some graduation cards, a birthday card, and some tags.

This is a picture of some tags that my friend, Lindy and I worked on together this last weekend. Hopefully we can get them posted in time for the 12 tags of 2013 May challenge at the Tim Holtz blog. My tag is the red one and her tag is the blue one.

    That owl card is just too stinkin' cute!!! The "best is yet to be" card is just fabulous! Great idea to use "bon voyage" on a graduation card. Love the "happy birthday" card, too!

    I had soooo much fun making our tags together!

Patriotic decor

There are a couple of patriotic challenges going on right now ( Our Daily Bread Designs , Simon Says Stamp Challenge ). After I found the Simon Says Stamp Challenge, I discovered that they have a vintage challenge as well ( Simon Says Stamp and Show ) and the Challenge is "Anything Goes"! This piece fits both categories, so I am going to enter it there also! After debating whether or not I wanted to do a card, I decided that I needed some patriotic décor for my home. So I made this piece with a built in stand on the back. After I made it, I realized that I could use this décor not only for the Fourth of July, but also for Memorial Day, and Veteran's Day!   I inked the gingham ribbon with Antique Linen distress ink to tone down the red and give it a more vintage look.    I used chipboard for my base and attached a ribbon stopper at the bottom to keep it from sliding. New Day Mini Album

Hello everyone! It's been a busy couple of months here at Purple Pinky Promises. I've been ready for Spring for quite some time and so I started this darling mini album to bring in the Spring. I completed this 5 part series on YouTube. Here's a close up of all the pages.
