Farewell card-FWF Friday

Image
I am posting this card that I made a couple of weeks ago. I entered it into the ODBD challenge. Since then, I updated it by adding some bling and then I dressed up an envelope to go with it. So I decided to link it up to the Friends With Flair Friday challenge over at Unity Stamp Co. I made this card as a farewell card to my niece and her family. They moved to the Kansas City area two years ago after they got married. We have had fun growing even closer, but his job has moved them to Denver. They found out about the move on the first day of Fall. I told Krista that was ironic because this means that they will literally start a new season in their lives. They only had a month to pack up and leave and we said our tearful good byes on Wednesday evening this week. The sentiment and the images are well suited for this card and envelope because of the situation. When she opened it, she cried. Then I followed. I will miss all of them soo mu...

Time for a new card to post over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge . The challenge is to use a clear or a rubber stamp. I made this card for my cousin's husband who is an avid outdoorsman. I have to give credit to the gal that inspired this card .     Materials used: Stamps: Unity Stamp Co. and Fiskars Woodgrain background papers: My Mind's Eye Papers: Bazzill, Neenah, and Coredinations Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink and Versafine Ribbon: Making Memories Twine: American Crafts Button: Craft Supply

I confess...I have not taken the time to post my work like I should be doing. Sigh...September is a busy month for us in this house. Both of our kids celebrate their birthdays and there is a major deadline I face as a guardian for my developmentally disabled brother every year in September that requires my time with paperwork. So...hopefully I will be more faithful to my blog in the coming weeks as life becomes busy with the holidays and our 25th wedding anniversary as well as my husband and I celebrating our birthdays. Whew!! I am linking this card up over at Our Daily Bread Designs for an Anything Goes Challenge.
