Pressed Petals meets To A Wild Rose


I love the vintage look of the Pressed Petals papers! Can you believe that flower was made from washi tape! Punch a 1/2 inch circle from a piece of scrap cardstock and adhere each petal to it. The back will need to be brushed with cornstarch or your embossing buddy to remove the stick from the back of each petal. The sentiment is from To A Wild Rose! I love the sentiments in that set! Honestly, I love how Stampin' Up! products coordinate so well together!

Patriotic decor

There are a couple of patriotic challenges going on right now ( Our Daily Bread Designs , Simon Says Stamp Challenge ). After I found the Simon Says Stamp Challenge, I discovered that they have a vintage challenge as well ( Simon Says Stamp and Show ) and the Challenge is "Anything Goes"! This piece fits both categories, so I am going to enter it there also! After debating whether or not I wanted to do a card, I decided that I needed some patriotic décor for my home. So I made this piece with a built in stand on the back. After I made it, I realized that I could use this décor not only for the Fourth of July, but also for Memorial Day, and Veteran's Day!   I inked the gingham ribbon with Antique Linen distress ink to tone down the red and give it a more vintage look.    I used chipboard for my base and attached a ribbon stopper at the bottom to keep it from sliding.
