Unity {be inspired} Challenge-Birthday card

Here's a birthday card that I'm entering into the Unity {be inspired} Challenge for the color challenge. Don't you love that kraft glassine paper? I think it substitutes well for a leather belt!!

Patriotic decor

There are a couple of patriotic challenges going on right now ( Our Daily Bread Designs , Simon Says Stamp Challenge ). After I found the Simon Says Stamp Challenge, I discovered that they have a vintage challenge as well ( Simon Says Stamp and Show ) and the Challenge is "Anything Goes"! This piece fits both categories, so I am going to enter it there also! After debating whether or not I wanted to do a card, I decided that I needed some patriotic décor for my home. So I made this piece with a built in stand on the back. After I made it, I realized that I could use this décor not only for the Fourth of July, but also for Memorial Day, and Veteran's Day!   I inked the gingham ribbon with Antique Linen distress ink to tone down the red and give it a more vintage look.    I used chipboard for my base and attached a ribbon stopper at the bottom to keep it from sliding. New Day Mini Album

Hello everyone! It's been a busy couple of months here at Purple Pinky Promises. I've been ready for Spring for quite some time and so I started this darling mini album to bring in the Spring. I completed this 5 part series on YouTube. Here's a close up of all the pages. FWF-Birthday card

I made this card for my aunt. I confused her birthday with my other aunt (her sister) and sent her a card two months early, but she never let on and thanked me so generously for making her a card. It wasn't til I got closer to her real birthday (looking ahead to see who I needed to make cards for) that I realized my mistake. So on her real birthday, I decided that I would send this card to let her know that I realized my mistake. I love it that Unity Stamp Co. sends the goofed up stamps in their kit anyway. They include a note about the mistake and explain that just because there is a mistake doesn't mean that we can't still use it in a creative way! Isn't that awesome!
