Farewell card-FWF Friday

I am posting this card that I made a couple of weeks ago. I entered it into the ODBD challenge. Since then, I updated it by adding some bling and then I dressed up an envelope to go with it. So I decided to link it up to the Friends With Flair Friday challenge over at Unity Stamp Co.

I made this card as a farewell card to my niece and her family. They moved to the Kansas City area two years ago after they got married. We have had fun growing even closer, but his job has moved them to Denver. They found out about the move on the first day of Fall. I told Krista that was ironic because this means that they will literally start a new season in their lives. They only had a month to pack up and leave and we said our tearful good byes on Wednesday evening this week. The sentiment and the images are well suited for this card and envelope because of the situation. When she opened it, she cried. Then I followed.

I will miss all of them soo much. Krista has been so instrumental in helping me on my weight loss journey since April of this year. I have lost 50 lbs. and she has been incredibly supportive. She stepped up to the plate immediately when I told her that my doctor told me that I needed to lose the weight and exercise due to health issues. She is a gem and I have had a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that I don't have my exercise buddy anymore! But I know that she is on to better things and it makes me happy for her and her family!! Plus we now get to visit them in such a beautiful setting-MUCH better than Kansas for sure!!!!
